edgehill pottery - ceramics and jewelry created by Barbara Schwartzberg

Barbara Schwartzberg has been fascinated by clay since  taking pottery classes in 1975, when she was living in West Lafayette, Indiana. She joined the Colorado Potters Guild in 1999 following a move to Denver, Colorado. She has remained an active member in this group. She and her husband relocated to Sonoma County, California in 2015. Barbara  quickly immersed herself in the diverse art milieu of the area. She has enjoyed making functional pottery using either porcelain or stoneware clay. She often views the clay as a canvas which she decorates in a whimsical, ironical fashion. She also enjoys working with precious metal clay, making jewelry, buttons, and unique one-of -a-kind items.

In July, 2019, Barbara spent 3 weeks at the Menlo Studio in Jingdezhen, China, taking part in a studio immersion course of all things porcelain.  What an experience!!
